Moral dilemma
May. 3rd, 2005 08:09 amA friend's partner has been using me as test subject for his shiatsu course. I accepted happily, to please the friend and in the hope to get some relief for my cronic back pain.
Last session, he made some wildly inappropriate comments while treating me. Basically, I was in my undies he was massaging my thight and he said that according to all theories I should be good in bed because i have thin ankles.
I didn't say anything on the spot, but afterwards I felt very uncomfortable and I do not trust his professionalism anymore.
Not wanting to offend my friend I decided to say that my doctor had me referred to a specialist for my back pain and had told me not to do any treatment in the meantime.
Only my friend hates conventional medicine with a passion and for her I should simply ignore whatever my doctor says and carry on with her boyfriend. She has been very "intense" in making her point.
Now I have to decide what to do.
1) Tell her that I have made my decision and that I am going with my doctor's advice.
2) Tell her the truth (and loose a dear friend)
3) Ignore the problem and hope it goes away (a bit like I have been doing with my cronic pain)
Oh and to make the day better, my dad has lost his mobile phone and he is currently not reachable. Normal part of my life, knickers in a twist for his partner.
I think I want to go back to bed and sleep for a week.
