... for a longer post today, but this morning I went shopping, got home with a bag full of noodles and depressed by how fat I am, discovered I had started my period, looking forward to some pizza and some reading, when my phone rang.

My young, flirty (and from what I am told) slutty colleague had decided that she had an excuse good enough not to come to work, so they needed me to cover her shift. I never say no to some overtime and I don't like leaving people in the lurch so I went.

It was a good day, with everybody joking about my Curse of the free weekend. Twice my boss has tried to give me a free weekend ( we have the possibility to take one taking turns) something happens and I have to come in.

Apparently tomorrow I will have my free sunday. And monday. Tomorrow I am cooking pumpkin pasta for my dad and monday I am hitting the market (if it's not raining) in the hope to find some trousers that fit me..

In the meantime: Have a good weekend folks!

I'm sorry you didn't get your weekend free from work, but at least it sounds like it was a decent day. It feels like it's that time of year for the search for pants that fit.

Enjoy the pumpkin pasta and have fun shopping.

I really hope it stops raining so I can go. I want the walk and I want loose pants that stop reminding me how fat I am.

*hugs* One of my friends is currently saying pretty much the same thing about finding pants. I think I gained a ridiculous amount of weight last year and am currently holding steady at that, but you can be sure I remember the feeling of frustration that goes along with it.

Let me know how your pumpkin pasta turns out. I recently had pumpkin ravioli, and found it likeable enough to want to try again, though not with a red sauce.

May you have your dry day and a successful shopping trip!

It went ok. Next time I will probably use more butter.

I just put some butter on a pan, addded roasted pumpkin shredded, added some milk to keep it moist, then added salt, pepper and tons of parmesan cheese. Boiled the pasta and added to the mix at the end.

Try it and le me know!
