Thank goddess is monday
Sep. 19th, 2010 05:58 pmWell not yet, but I have finished working for the day. Saturday and Sunday are the busiest days of the week for us, with all football leagues competing and people coming to bet at the last possible minute (I did my last ticket for the Italian Serie A with less than a minute to spare). So I get very, very tired.
At my previous job, business had gone down a lot, so I wasn't used anymore to these rythms.
I need to build back my strenght. Here rarely a shift lasts more than 6- 6 and an half hours with only bathroom breaks, but there is a reason. The rhythm of the job, even during the quieter days of the week, is so demanding that you couldn't cope otherwise.
This doesn't mean that's a slave shop, because there's laughter between us and with the clients, just that... I get home on sunday very, very tired.
