I have had a cold for the last 4 days. Today is the first day that I am feeling as if I am starting to get over it, because for the last three I was an absolute zombie. This is the first real cold I had in over three years, and I coped pretty badly with it.
First of all, I cannot take any product that ease the cold during nighttime, so I have not been sleeping well, when I managed to sleep at all.
Secondly I followed well meaning advice of people who do not know my body and filled myself with paracetamol instead of ibuprofen. Paracetamol simply doesn't work with me, even in pretty high dosages. Ibuprofen does. Once I stopped listening to others and started listening to my body, I started to get better,
Thirdly, my immune system is a bit down at the moment (I have been feeling pretty run down recently, even taking some natural products to pick me up, and I have a pretty light urinary infection as well)
Fourthly, I think that the bodywork I have been doing is starting to work, and that my body is working hard to re balance itself, leaving me more tired and consequently weaker and more exposed to sickness.
