Today, I want to praise my favorite Buffy and Angel writers and stories.
I'll start with Byrne. Great writer (check also her original, published work. It's worth the money.) and source of the discovery of some of my favorite stories. She writes mostly Buffy, but she has started now writing Stargate as well, and I have high hopes. Her work can be found here:

I particularly recommend Tea and Biscuits, a very hot RPG involving most of the fandom's men, in various combination, that she is writing with Wesleygirl and Magpie. A warning. Not for the faint hearted.

Wesleygirl is another brilliant writer. As the name said she is Wesley centric, but she writes Wesley very well, and she has some good recs as well, if you are getting started in the fandom:

Magpie and I share a fondness for older men. I rec her archive, Ripped off

and her Ethan stories. In particular Of Old mystics, that she is writing with Wolfling. If you want something nice but not fluffy to keep you company in a snow day this is your fic.

If you want something completely outrageously camp and funny, Domestic Piranhas, by James Walkwithwind and Mad Poetess is your thing. Warning: it will make you laugh until you split your sides and you will start looking for your nearest Morrie's.

James Walkwithwind is one of these rare writers that succeed in writing in more than one fandom. With "horses of different colors" co-written with Wolfling, she has got me interested in Houston Knights and recently she has started writing in SGA with great success. Go and check her out.

I know I ended up focusing more on the stories than the authors, but while these are my personal favorites, go and read anything of any of them. You'll not be disappointed.
