Chilled to the bones
Dec. 21st, 2010 06:51 pmOn Friday it didn't wait till I got home to start snowing. Luckily my boss sent me home, telling me to call next time before it snows to see If they need me at work. It took me double the usual time to drive home. Apparently it was lucky that I left when I did, because those who started driving half an hour later got literally stuck in the snow. I was actually proud of my driving. I was so very, very careful.
On Saturday I went to work and then I met up with my father's ex. She is obviously a very lonely woman. And she knows she made a mistake with my dad. But... I love my dad more.
I got home from work on Sunday so tired... I went to bed at 7:30 and I slept it straight through the might till 6am. It was delightful.
Yesterday I was supposed to do some cleaning. Instead I allowed myself to relax. I knew I was gonna have a long week with very little time to myself. I ended up watching the first three Harry Potter movies. They are... ok I guess. Not sure I'll watch the others any time soon.
Today I went to work and I was sort of a zombie, but I found the strenght to go shopping afterwards. I got myself two undershirts (I know I am getting old. I never needed them before, but this winter is chilling my bones) and a lovely jumper. That I am wearing tonight on my date.
Yep a date. A second date. I know he's not gonna be the love of my life, but he's honest about it, gentle and willing to wait a little bit. I may even end up having sex with him after the holidays.
