Yesterday I cleaned the house, got depressed looking at admission requirements for Masters in Library science, read an Highlander/X-Men Xover (yes i know this makes me look desperate, but these admission requirements were really depressing)and watched Live8. Annie Lennox made me cry, and i loved Sting's new version of "We'll be watching you".
On the Italian front, loved Lorenzo Jovanotti and Fiorella Mannoia's cover of Manu Chao Clandestino. She made me want to listen to that album, but I think it's a little bit too early on a Sunday morning to listen to some punk folk (yes, I know the definition stink, but how to define Manu Chao's music is one of life's great mysteries, like the timing of mobile phones batteries and why my retired neighbours, both of whom rarely go out, MUST start their weekly house cleaning at 6:45 every Sunday morning. My theory is because it is the time of the week less likely to produce gossips, because they "don't wanna miss a thing")
Plans for today? Rest, read, do my back exercises, maybe watch my latest DVD finding: Jarman "Edward II" and both series of QaF (the Uk version, produced by the genius of Russel "Doctor Who" T Davies and not the soap that the Americans have made out of it). I got out of the shop leaving the shopkeeper stunned by my enthusiasm and bouncing with joy.
Oh and if I forget tomorrow: Happy Independence day, USA citizens.
