Updates...
Apr. 10th, 2006 03:59 pmI know I have been lacking on the update front, but first of all, nothing really happened if not inside, and secondly I am not really sure about what happened inside yet, so I don't want you to get as confused as I am.
I do have to say that I enjoyed myself most of the time. Monday and tuesday last week I went out to the street market and the farmer's market, where I got some great oven baked ricotta.
On thursday I missed my doctor's appointment because of the rain, Friday I went back to the bedlam of my hometown, Saturday I went to my cousin's 40th Birthday. We grew up together and the food (game and mushroom) was good, so all in all a good evening.
Yesterday we went for a nature walk and this cheered up my premenstrual self to no end, like it did my going to the weekly market with my friend
trapla this morning.
What else? I am starting to get itchy feet about my next destination. I am really like Odysseus in this way. More than 3 years in a place and I get restless. I lasted here only because my health was bad, but now that I am feeling better the desire to explore is starting to complain loudly. One thing I know: this time I am moving closer to nature. I never feel as alive as when I am away from civilisation.
Has anybody any suggestion for a job/place in the countryside served by broadband? Any Country would do...

Date: 2006-04-10 10:03 pm (UTC)Nothing wrong with trying them both out. It just gives you more opportunities. That way if one doesn't pan out, you have a chance with the other. It also means more job opportunities and school opportunities. What have you.

Date: 2006-04-10 09:58 pm (UTC)I was actually seriously considering the West Coast already. I read that just above Vancouver there are quite a few coastal villages that I found inspiring...is it true?

Date: 2006-04-11 10:03 am (UTC)I'd love to visit you in Vancouver. You make me dream...and reach for the Visa application form.
I have had it saved for months on my hard drive. I was very impressed with the quality of the information and the forms on the Canadian government website. It makes you feel wanted and makes BC look like a place where a person can live well...

Date: 2006-04-11 12:49 am (UTC)Don't know what to tell you about countries, just that I wish you luck. :) A change of scenery sounds nice. I know I want one.
Glad you had fun at your cousin's birthday party. And a nature walk sounds very nice.
Hope you have a wonderful week.

Date: 2006-04-11 09:53 am (UTC)*snickers* I actually tried to explain it 3 times, but everything ended in the bin because...I couldn't make any sense out of what I had written. So I decided to wait until I stop being premenstrual and ended up going boring factual...
But changes of scenery are definitely needed and good for the soul. This I do know.
