...I'll be 36 in 11 days, so why I end up with a whooping cough, typical children illness, one of whose characteristics is that of taking lot of time to go away?

I have been sick all week (some days so sick not to be able to check on my computer), and I am still coughing, stuffing myself with prescribed drugs and taking a lot of will and time to do the littlest thing. Cabin fever started setting in, quickly followed by depression, until I decided that I had a choice. Let the illness rule me, or go with the flow and try to live as much as possible. So today I had a friend over and my first birthday pressie. And tomorrow, I am going to place my order for my own pressies (a book on Derek Jarman's garden, Jeff Buckley's Grace, The Angel box set and a Black Lace book, because a girl needs some fun).

I am sick and probably not too sane, but I try to do my best to still enjoy it.

Medicines not working or what?

The medicines are working, because I experiment the side effects: nausea, vertigo, weakness...simply are doing everything except making me stop coughing, that's the only thing I want. If I don't speak and am quiet, I can go for a couple of hours without, then I have an attack and I cannot stop coughing, until I cannot breathe and my insides hurt.

Thanks for asking :)

Eeep, well just rest and take care of yourself. It would be good for you to have a healthy birthday.
