Men, Geeks and Sci- Fi

matilda36After spending the last two days (Bank holidays BTW) alone with my cold, bored out of my skull and worried that I had offended Giuliana (stuck a floor below me by her bionic big toe), this morning I decided to go and speak to her, and i discovered the truth.
My Dad had told me that she wanted to be left alone, then told her that I wanted to be left alone, and so we ended up both spending miserable days, while my dad slept, eat and played computer games ignoring both of us. The official theory is that the miscommunication was down to my father's faulty communication skills, but I know the truth. We girls like Sci-Fi and Fantasy and enjoy our DVD marathons, while my dad got scared watching the Mummy and cannot see the humor in Tremors. So, he took extra care to keep us apart to avoid getting jealous while we discuss the merits of the different male characters in Buffy and to avoid getting scared by whatever mild Sci-Fi stuff we are watching.
But I am already planning my revenge. I am uncertain between an M Night Shyamalan marathon or a one session watching of the whole LOTR trilogy (extended edition).
I am feeling a bit evil today...
