Looking ahead
Nov. 8th, 2009 04:02 pmSlow day at work. I guess people looked outside the window, saw the rain pouring down, felt the cold shivering down their spines and decided to stay in bed.
So I spent the morning discussing international politics with Giuseppe. He's the baby of the Agency. Not the youngest but he looks and behaves like a little boy lost, except when it comes to politics, where is sharp mind comes out to play, so we had a good time tearing apart Italian politicians (and some not Italian ones)
Work has been a mixed bag recently. Yesterday it was frantic, today it was slow. The important thing is that I am at a point in my mind where I am no more dependent from this job. My father has finally found a place where we can move together and he's moving ahead of me. The only thing missing is a job. He wants me to find a teaching or secretarial job, but for me it's enough to have some sort of income. Next Sunday I am going with him to help with the move, so we'll talk about it. I still haven't given up my dream of teaching through internet. Creative writing and Italian.
In the meantime, tomorrow I am back in Reggio for my training, and that as well is a step in the right direction.
I am off to make mashed potatoes, my favourite comfort food.
