Light option
Jun. 3rd, 2011 03:34 pmThis last year I have been putting on a lot of weight, around 20kg. That's a lot of weight, especially considering that I am not all that young anymore and that I am not that good at exercising (If I have to choose between a nap or a walk, I will always pick the nap). mY doctor has remarked on it, encouraging me to exercise.
I am a nervous eater. When I am feeling bad, I binge. In a weird way it helps me to shut up my emotions, to rebalance my chemistry. Yeah I know it doesn't make sense, but that's the way it feels.
I tried something different this time. Instead of picking a ridicolous diet, trying it and failing miserably, I have tried to change the way I eat. This means more veggies, more homecooked meals, less eating in the evenings, more diet options (between normal Crisps and the light option, I pick the light one), if I have ice cream I don't eat dinner, things like that.
And it's working. I have lost 2kg, just by changing the way I eat. I wasn't expecting that. It encourages me to carry on.
Now I f I only were to solve my napping problem....
