A mixed bag
Aug. 28th, 2009 11:05 amGood news: I overcame my natural phobia of mechanics and went to pick up my car myself. I guess having to wait three weeks for it and knowing I have my last night shift of the year tonight helped me to overcome my fear.
Bad news: They are cutting my hours from 30 to 20. This is more mixed news than bad news. I know I am likely to do a lot of overtime, hence be paid more for less hours. The shorter hours means also more time to rest and to study.
This month has been a true nightmare. I had three days off in the whole month and I am tired, dangerously tired. This hasn't stopped me from taking on an extra shift for tomorrow, the first day of my holidays. Yeah I am stupid like that.
But it's good money for my notebook. I may (fingers crossed) have found a good ASUS notebook for 100 € . My PC is starting to show its age and i need a good standby. And also can you imagine the pleasure of chatting from my bed in the mornings?
