I have been going through my book collection recently, doing an heavy culling (due to space constraints)and it has been strangely easy. Maybe because I have been doing a lot of this letting go of the past stuff recently, maybe because I know that the books will go to good homes, but I managed to make most of my choices in 3 days (there is still the translation issue (i.e. not keeping two copies of the same book in two different languages. The original always wins)to sort out).

Today I was looking at my to keep group and I was wondering what people would say about me from my books.

Here are some highlights:

-I own most of the bibliography (in two languages) of Christopher Isherwood.

-I own most of the bibliography (in two languages) of William Burroughs

-I own most of the bibliography (in two languages) of P.G. Woodhouse.

-I own most of the bibliography (in two languages) of David and Leigh Eddings.

-I have a large collection of Edwardian (Wilde, Kipling, Conrad)literature

-I do own a large collection of British writers between the two Wars (Woolf, Dijuna Barnes)

-Most of the books I own have been written by gay men and women.

-A consistent part of the above are gender Theory book.

-I do have an interesting collection of classical (Roman and Ancient Greek) books, including a number of grammar, literary history and history books.

-I do have an interesting collection of manuals, covering topics from worm breeding to forgiveness.

-I do own an interesting collection of books on religions (especially Oriental and Paganism)

Not sure what somebody can make of my choices, but I'd like to know...
